X180 Engine cover refurbishment |
All science is either physics or stamp collecting. (Ernest Rutherford) |
Is you engine cover looking a bit tired?
When I bought my X180 Esprit the engine cover was looking a bit tatty - the cross members on the grill were missing and the rubber seals were torn in a couple of places. While the seal was still doing its job and keeping water out of the boot, the distressed look did nothing to enhance the look of the car.
It is purely cosmetic, but giving your engine cover a new lease of life is cheap and easy...
You will need: Replacement universal boot seal Mesh approx 750mm x 300mm Replacement bolts (twelve M4 x 20mm or similar), nuts and large washers Tin snips Scissors Flat blade screwdriver
The job will take about an hour. |
